Applications
The therapeutic THERAPRO™ Hot/Cold Compress can be effectively used to treat sprains, strains, cuts and contusions and reduces the following:
Instructions for Cold Compress Use
Freeze the THERAPRO™ Hot/Cold Compress by placing in a freezer. Remove and wrap the cold compress in a towel or cloth and apply to the affected area.
Instructions for Warm Compress Use-Warm Water
Heat approximately 3 quarts water not to exceed 1500F. Remove the water from the heat and place the THERAPRO™ Hot/Cold Compress in the water for 5-10 minutes or until the desired temperature is reached. Carefully remove from the water and wrap in a towel or cloth and apply to the affected area.
Instructions for Warm Compress Use-Microwave
Heat the THERAPRO™ Hot/Cold Compress in the microwave for 15 seconds at the low setting and redistribute the contents of the compress. Repeat the procedure until the desired temperature is reached. Watch the compress while heating and turn the microwave off if it starts to expand or exceeds 150F. When the desired temperature is reached, wrap the compress in a towel or cloth and apply to the affected area.
Warning For Hot/Cold Compress Use
Persons who have circulatory problems, are hypersensitive to cold/warm therapy, or with history of frostbite should consult a doctor before using this product. This product should always be wrapped in a cloth or towel and should not be applied directly to the skin to avoid frostbite and burns. Furthermore, do not exceed 20 minutes per application.
